I have wanted a quality wood set with 4" king and brown dark pieces, (rather than black dark pieces), and with better knights than the common sets. When I saw the knights on this set, which to my taste are far better than the average club set, I bought it immediately. I am very pleased with the set. Everything arrived well packed in perfect condition. There is only one flaw, a bit of the felt on the bottom of one of the rooks is cut at an odd angle so that it does not entirely cover the base of the piece. The piece still sits on the felt base fine, so I did not return it. I am pleased with the weight of this set, and I am impressed that it was shipped from India to my door in central USA in only 3 days. I recommend this set to any club player.Posted on

A set would be lovely to own if one's ancestor was in the war. The originals are too few to buy and too dear. The design by German & Australian people adds an irony to the ACF set due to the war. They fought against one another, they played chess together.Posted on

The pieces are of high quality and it was really nice to purchase them with a large discount. They are properly weighted and it feels great to hold them in the hand. One designing issue that I would like to point out is the height of the bishops. If they were just a bit taller, that would make the whole set look even more aesthetic, but overall a pretty worthy chess set.Posted on
