We are pleased to announce the impeccable CB Red Rum luxury series chess set, exquisitely made up of bud rosewood and natural boxwood. The King proudly stands at 4.4 inches and its base is robust 1.9 inches. This is a classic design featuring the magnificent and robust knight.
Chess Pieces Weight : 2240 grams (79.01 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.
The dark chess pieces are made of bud rosewood. It would be difficult to find a more sumptuous wood than Bud rosewood for the dark side chess pieces. The texture of the bud rosewood is fine and a true pleasure to hold.
The opposing pieces are made of boxwood which is traditionally used for white side. It is one of the fairly easy woods to work with and shows off aesthetic detail. The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and triple weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. King, Queens, Bishops and Pawns have unique collar rings and thick green felts, which precisely envelops the base of each chessmen for smooth movement on the chess board. The knights are well-crafted and represent the highest grade of knight carving skills that our Indian artisans have to offer.
Craftsmanship: The carving of the knight is quite spectacular, look closely at the eyes, nostrils, teeth and, uniformity around the mane. The design of the other pieces is also highly commended to allow the set to truly stand out. They are meticulously handcrafted from the finest grade bud rosewood and polished by hand to give it a rich and long lasting shine. Each chessmen is carefully hand crafted in India with dainty details. Superb size proportioning from king to the pawn exhibits true intricate craftsmanship in all the pieces. The design, quality, and craftsmanship of these chess pieces is comparable to the luxury chess sets that are sold for $700+ by other retailers.
