The King proudly stands at 4.5 inches and its base is robust 1.8 inches. This is a classic design featuring the magnificently robust and remarkable knight. 

Dark chess pieces are exquisitely crafted in Ebony wood. Because of its rarity, Ebony Wood chess pieces are the primary choice of many chess enthusiasts. Ebony wood is an alluring wood and probably the most admired wood for luxury chess sets. 

The opposing pieces are made of boxwood which is traditionally used for the white side. It is one of the fairly easy woods to work with and shows off aesthetic detail. The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and heavily weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. All Pieces are uniquely designed and have thick green felts, which precisely envelops the base of each chessmen for smooth movement on the chess board. The knights are well-crafted and represent the highest grade of knight carving skills that our Indian artisans have to offer.

Craftsmanship: The lathe work on each chess piece is noteworthy, especially the elegant curves. There are 6 cuts in the turrets of the rook. The carving and the design of the knight are quite spectacular, look closely at the eyes, nostrils, teeth and, craftsmanship around the mane. The design of the other pieces is also highly outstanding, each chessmen is carefully handcrafted in India. They are meticulously handcrafted from the finest grade bud rosewood and polished by hand to give it a rich and long-lasting shine. Superb size proportioning from king to the pawn exhibits true intricate craftsmanship in all the pieces. The design, quality, and craftsmanship of these chess pieces are comparable to the luxury chess sets that are sold for $900+ by other retailers.

Chess Pieces Weight: 1850  grams approx.(65.25 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.

Uniformity of pieces: The shapes of turned pieces are guided by metal profiles and so all turned pieces are identical, especially the pawns. You can expect some variation where hand carving or cutting comes i.e. knights.
