This Fide Approved 90s French Chavet Tournament Chess Set in Staunton style is made from ebonized and natural boxwood(also available in Sheesham & Bud Rose Wood). Designed for tournaments and serious players.

The King stands at 3.66 inches with a 1.57-inch base. Featuring a one-piece knight with intricate detailing, a wider base, and superb proportioning, this set showcases true craftsmanship.

Weight: 1010 grams(Black) (35.62 oz). Manually added weight may vary by ±10%.

Boxwood is traditionally used for the white side, easy to work with, and aesthetically detailed. Comes with extra queens for effortless promotion. Thick green felt ensures smooth movement and a cushioned feel. Knights showcase top-tier carving skills.

History: Designed by Chavet in the early 90s, used in the 1990 World Chess Championship (Lyon). One of the finest Staunton-style sets.

Craftsmanship: The knight is a single-piece carving. Inspired by our German Knight Tournament Series. Lathe work, collar rings, and curves are noteworthy. 4 cuts in the rook's turrets, wide-base pawns. Handcrafted in India, polished for a rich shine. Comparable to $500+ sets.

Uniformity: Turned pieces maintain identical shapes, except hand-carved knights.
