This reproduction stays true to the original design, featuring the iconic blocky knight heads. The set was also featured in the 1963 James Bond film From Russia with Love. Features : Reproduced French Lardy Staunton weighted chess pieces with a 3.0" King and base diameter of 1.2" and have thick green felt on their bases. This set is Weighted and is based on the original chess set made by the Lardy Chess Company in France. The dark chess pieces are made in Ebonized Boxwood and the lighter chess pieces are made in Boxwood.
