Craftsmanship:
Carving and turning the chessmen is a meticulous process. Our design and carving team spent countless hours perfecting every detail, ensuring both quality and feel were maintained. The King's top and bishop's mitre feature hand carving, adding a unique touch. The reversible queen's crown, often seen in Soviet-era chess sets, is another distinctive feature of this set.Soviet era chess sets. The Knights feature a unique carving style on each side, making them captivating from every angle. The lathe work is exceptional, with distinctive collar rings and elegant curves. The rooks' shanks have a brick-like architecture, while the pawns' wide bases add depth to the set. The overall design is highly praised, making the set truly stand out. Each chessman is meticulously handcrafted from the finest wood, polished by hand for a lasting shine. Crafted in India with intricate details, the design, quality, and craftsmanship rival rare original chess sets.
Uniformity of pieces: The shapes of turned pieces are guided by metal profiles and so all turned pieces are identical, especially the pawns. You can expect some variation where hand carving or cutting comes i.e. knights.
