The set features a Tournament standard 3.75" King with a base diameter of 1.61 inches. The CB Grandmaster Series is expertly weighted from our master artisans and it's superb size proportioning from a king to pawn make this chess set an excellent choice for fast chess games in tournaments/clubs or regular home and school play.

Dark chess pieces are made up of sheesham wood and the opposing pieces are made up of natural boxwood which is traditionally used for white side. It is one of the fairly easy woods to work with and shows off aesthetic detail. The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and appropriately weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. King, Queens, Bishops, and Pawns have unique collar rings and thick green felts, which precisely envelops the base for smooth contact and movement on the chess board. The knights are well-crafted and represent the highest grade of knight carving skills that our Indian artisans have to offer.
