Introducing the CB Mustang Series Staunton chess set, crafted from ebony and natural boxwood. The 4.4-inch king features two elegant finials and a sturdy 1.9-inch base. The finials are easily interchangeable. This luxury set includes a strong, striking knight. Weight: 2150 grams (75.83 oz), with a ±10% variation.

Note: No glue work is required to swap the king finials.

The dark chess pieces are made of ebony wood. It would be difficult to find a more sumptuous wood than ebony wood for the dark side chess pieces. The texture of the ebony wood is fine and a true pleasure to hold. The deep luster and total blackness of the ebony wood are exceptional.

The opposing pieces are crafted from boxwood, known for its carving ease and detail. The set includes free extra queens for pawn promotion. Each piece is expertly carved, weighted for a great feel, and features unique rings and green felts for smooth movement. The lathe work, especially on the collar rings and curves, is exceptional.

Double is better than one: The set includes a first-of-its-kind Double Rook, expertly crafted to showcase the highest level of carving skills from our skilled Indian artisans._x000D_ For a smooth, uniform finish, we've used buff-polish instead of lacquer, ensuring the pieces are durable, scratch-resistant, and less prone to dirt._x000D_ Wavy mane for a delicate feel: The knights are precision-crafted, with over 30 variations tested to perfect the mane. Each piece undergoes careful wood analysis before processing to ensure flawless execution.

Design Inspiration: The knight is inspired by the Mustang horse, known for its strength, intelligence, and striking feathering. Its wavy, flowing mane captures the Mustang in full gallop.

Craftsmanship: Did you notice? Each chess piece has handmade vertical lines at the bottom of the shank for an elegant touch. The knight's carving is exceptional, with detailed eyes, nostrils, teeth, and a finely crafted wavy mane. The other pieces are equally impressive, handcrafted from premium ebony wood and polished for a lasting shine. Inspired by the Indian Chetak Series, they feature superb size proportioning, from king to pawn, showcasing intricate craftsmanship. These pieces rival luxury sets costing $1500+ from other retailers. For uniformity, all turned pieces, especially pawns, are identical, thanks to metal profiles. However, slight variations may occur in hand-carved pieces like the knights.

Before shipping, we apply a special coating to the chess pieces that enhances their reflection and makes it easy to wipe off smudges.
