Absolutely the most beautiful chess set in my “freak’s collection”. Finally something with the Indian touch, exotically styled variation on the Staunton model, for a change, without a “crossed” king, but crowned maharaja instead. Echo and the reminder that it is India who is the grandmother of His Majesty - Chess. The glossy finishing is the cherry on the cake. For those who follow the FIDE standards it the size No 7. Obviously requiring the proportionally bigger and beautiful chess board. During the play it looks (almost) like a real battle. The horses, are more beautiful and detailed than it looks in the picture. Other pieces are also not to be neglected. They are both sophisticated and reassuringly heavy. The only slight disappointment was that the set was packed (very safely) only in a carton box filled with synthetic foam stripes. Somehow, for this price, I would expect (out of the producer’s shear courtesy/generosity?) the set to be packed in a box, at least of the cheapest, pine kind. Anyway, the set is perfect. Do not invite to play these guys who are addicted to virtual 2-D micro chess, they will not be able to appreciate this craftsmanship gem set. Only for true chess connoisseurs with an eye for beauty!

The craftsmanship of these pieces is extraordinary, especially the knight!!!\nYou can't take your eyes away from it. It's just absolutely beautiful.

This is the second wooden set I've purchased. I really do not have the words to compliment the set enough. The craftsmanship, quality, and detail are perfect. Chessbazar was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire process. I am already planning to purchase another set.

I have several chess sets from Chess Bazaar. I describe them as works of art and have seen other reviewers described in the same way. Absolutely gorgeous chess sets whose pictures on the Internet to not do them justice. When they arrive I am always happily surprised to find they are even more beautiful in person than viewing them on the Internet. The price is quite reasonable for the quality of the chess that you receive. The Indian-American set is sure to please any chess player.

Took delivery of my Indian-American pieces last week. I was amazed by the speed of delivery from India. Tracked all the way - it was received within a few days. This was my second set from Chessbazaar - I find their customer service second to none. The workmanship on these pieces is exquisite- they are like little sculptures and very tactile. Beautifully weighted and finished, this set is a pleasure to use. Have set them up with the Red Ash Burl board and use a small spotlight to light up the board - looks gorgeous. This is the fifth (5th) set of chess pieces I have purchased from Chess Bazaar to date. That is quite a lot if you think about it! Five sets of chess pieces from Chess Bazaar! Honestly, this is the best set of chess pieces so far. I just love this Indian-American Luxury Series Chess Set in Bud Rose Wood. The Bud Rose Wood pieces are rich in both color and style. Each piece is just beautiful. The Knights are just amazing. The Rooks and Bishops are just beautiful. Even the Pawns are amazing in weight and balance. The King and Queens are also very nice. I am really impressed with the quality of these chess pieces! I bought this set (actually two sets) during the recent Chess Bazaar promotion ""Clearance Sale"" up to 30% off, so that was the main reason for me to purchase a 4th and a 5th set of chess pieces from here. I love chess and so far I have collected a wide range of chess sets from various sellers in Amristar. My experiences of buying chess from other sellers in Amristar has been very disappointing. In my every single purchase I received several faulty chessmen and every single seller charged me up to £40 sometimes for shipment and handling. On one occasion I had to wait over two months to receive replacement pieces from a seller and that after hundreds of emails. Given my vast experience of buying chess sets from India and Amristar I must say except for Chessbazaar the rest of the sellers will never provide quality and caring customer service, nor the products they sell are cheaper or better quality than Chessbazaar. It is funny that other chess sellers in Amristar require the customer to pay them through Western Union and similar dodgy methods of money transfer but with Chessbazaar the method of payment is very safe and secure. I would highly recommend Chessbazaar and strongly advise customers to refrain from buying from other sellers as the disappointment would sometimes be too much to bear.\n
