Fierce in design and rich in detail, this handcrafted set features a bold 4.45" King and powerful knights carved from premium Bud Rosewood and Boxwood. Triple-weighted for perfect balance, it's ideal for serious play and striking display. This chess set comes with two extra queens (used for a pawn promotion). The Dark side is made with bud rose wood and lighter side is made with boxwood. The coffer storage box SKU: S1210-B would also work very well for a set of this size (available as an optional additional purchase)

Unique!

I received these pieces some time ago and they were skillfully carved and quite attractive. The pieces are quite unique. I have no other sets with the ""prickly"" pawns featured in this set. Even most other pieces such as the knights, bishops, and rooks are uniquely styled, while loosely retaining the general Staunton style. If this style appeals to you, I highly recommend this as a unique luxury set.

Not Inclusive

Chessbazaar only puts its slightly imperfect chess sets a d those that do not sell on 70% off sale. It is more fair if CB includes all of its chess sets on 70% off sale and not just the dodgy ones.

Robust and Aggressive

Ferocious Elite Series brings an aggressive design with robust sized pieces that make this great game yet more fun. I like that even the Pawns got some attention and have a very unique design and do also look aggressive as the rest of the set. I bought the pieces set together with the storage case and if I knew it would be so gorgeous, I would have bought all other sets that I ordered from Chessbazar with the case. There are better knights and rooks in other sets, but they still look very nice. Overall the set is fantastic with all peaces working well together to honor the ""Ferocious"" name.

My favorite set

I have a number of luxury sets from Chess Bazaar and all of them are wonderful. Recently I built a wall cabinet to display some of them. Once I had the pieces in place it became clear to me that the Ferocious Elite is my favorite as a total set. If I was going to buy only one set from Chess Bazaar this would be the one.

How are items packaged?

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouses - so as to avoid any form of damage. We take great pride in our packaging which ensures the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile items are safely secured with bubble wrap.

Seller Error: If we made a mistake, such as sending the wrong or incomplete item, please let us know right away and we will gladly send the correct item in exchange whenever possible at no additional cost to you.(Wrong or incomplete items claim must be made within 48 hours of delivery of the item.)
Defective items: If you receive an item with a manufacturer's defect, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to arrange for a replacement.
