I learned to play chess at age 16. My surprise was huge when I saw my favourite set on the Chessbazaar portal: The Cavalier Chess Set Staunton. My emotion overflowed when I held it in my hands. The beauty of the carving, the brilliance of the ebony, the harmony and symmetry of the game are fabulous. There I fell in love with chess pieces and became a collector. Today I have acquired more than 10 sets from Chessbazaar.
The great quality of the wood, the carving of the pieces — mainly the knights — I can affirm these craftsmen are true artists. All pieces that have arrived broken or damaged have been replaced. They are always very kind. This is not common to find in many places.
