I learned to play chess at 6 years old and became state champion in high school. Later during college and work, chess drifted away. Then 25 years passed.
Now, as a university professor and father of twin daughters, the opportunity to take up chess came up again. A small tournament on campus rekindled my interest — and then I discovered Chessbazaar. I started with the Zagreb 1959 model — a delight to receive at home. My students could not believe the quality of the pieces — they played for hours!
So far I have ordered 5 times and the quality is consistent. My return to chess has a lot to do with the existence of this site.
