The King stands at 3.79 inches (Tournament Size) with a 1.6-inch base. Wider bases and superb size proportioning exhibit true craftsmanship. Dark pieces are crafted in ebonized boxwood, while the opposing pieces are made of natural boxwood. All pieces are expertly carved, weighted for a solid hand feel, and feature green felt pads for smooth movement.

History: The 1972 World Chess Championship, dubbed the "Match of the Century," saw Bobby Fischer defeat Boris Spassky 12½–8½. This reproduction is an accurate remake of the legendary Reykjavik chess set used in that historic match.
