Features: 19th Century Classic Series weighted chess pieces offers a 4.09" King with a diameter of 1.41" and all chess pieces are Weighted by adding a stud of iron within the base. Each of the chess pieces have thick green felt on their bases. The dark chess pieces are made of sheesham wood and the lighter chess pieces are made of Boxwood.

This is selling out any minute

I just received my 19th century pieces TODAY (The date IS RIGHT 20/10/2018) and I can’t believe it. Wonderfullness. I thought my pirchase was gonna be risky because it’s a no return (so If I dont like it too bad) but I said to myself, might as well, its 60$ cad for crying out loud, worst comes to worst its a bad purchase and you end up with a reproduced piece of chess history. I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG!!! I got it TODAY, four days after order (Even if it was scheduled next tuesday (in 4 days) and that free shipping helped me a lot because here in Canada, Chess retailers either charge WAY TOO MUCH or they are non-profits (gooood) and have unprecised products (not what I want) and so the free shipping is a total game changer compared to let’s say Wholesale chess who would have charged me the FedEx rates from USA (and a bug package) which would go towards the 30-40$ range atop want I’m already spending. Now, the pieces... the pieces in the picture look somewhat sexy but not even close to what they’re like in person... I’m IN LOVE. The sheesham low key glows to your eyes and its shades of different colour is mesmorizing!!! Now I get to enjoy my cute pieces in the comfort of my home! A chess pieces set to show of with!

This chess pieces set is a beautiful one and really standing out not only but its very special design but also by the quality of the craftsmanship. Especially for the black pieces made from sheesham wood (a wood which I absolutely love) which despite the natural texture of the wood, have a perfectly uniform colour, the characteristics of the sheesham adding only to their uniqueness and beauty.\nThe pieces are very well proportioned and weighted so the the look and feel during game is perfect and natural. I would even say better than the ones given by the classic Staunton sets.\nThe pieces are at their ease on a 55 mm square chess board but they are also very well at home on 50 mm board like the one I am using, without looking crowded or to big (they comply very well with the 70-75% rule).\nAs a conclusion, this a chess pieces set not only perfect for play but also perfect to show of with and beautiful and special to look at. :)\nThanks ChessBazaar! :)

This is my 2nd chess set from chessbazar (my # 37 set). \nI ordered it on Friday night and it was a big surprise when the Fedex delivery guy knocked my door on Tuesday morning (!) with the package in his hand (I live in Oklahoma-USA)!! It was really speedy! The packaging and wrapping were so thorough that I needed almost 15 min. to unpack all the pieces. This chess set of course can not be used an tournaments (not Staunton standard set), but it is a very unique set in the chess club, my friends are amazed! The quality of the pieces is perfect, without any defect. All the piceses have nice, smooth surface. For me is very rare that the set comes with 4 queens!\nI am a satisfied customer, thank you guys! :-) Good job!!

How are items packaged?

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouses - so as to avoid any form of damage. We take great pride in our packaging which ensures the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile items are safely secured with bubble wrap.

Special Circumstances:

Seller Error: If we made a mistake, such as sending the wrong or incomplete item, please let us know right away and we will gladly send the correct item in exchange whenever possible at no additional cost to you.(Wrong or incomplete items claim must be made within 48 hours of delivery of the item.)
Defective items: If you receive an item with a manufacturer's defect, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to arrange for a replacement.
