We are pleased to announce the Regency chess set exquisitely made from bud rosewood and natural boxwood. The King proudly stands at 4.2 inches and its base is robust 1.5 inches. This is a captivated design featuring the uniquely stylized chess pieces.

Dark chess pieces are exquisitely crafted in bud rosewood. Because of its rarity, bud rosewood chess pieces are the primary choice of many chess enthusiasts. Bud rosewood is an alluring wood and probably the most admired wood for luxury chess sets.

The opposing pieces are made of boxwood which is traditionally used for the white side. It is one of the fairly easy woods to work with and shows off aesthetic detail. The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. All Pieces are uniquely designed and have thick green felts, which precisely envelops the base of each chessmen for smooth movement on the chess board. The pieces are well-crafted and represent the highest grade of carving skills that our Indian carvers have to offer.

Craftsmanship: The hand carving on each chess piece around the shank is noteworthy, especially the unique collar rings on the king, queen, bishop and marvelous vertical lines on the rooks. The design of the knight is also highly outstanding. They are meticulously handcrafted from the finest grade bud rosewood and polished by hand to give it a rich and long-lasting shine. Superb size proportioning from king to the pawn exhibits true intricate craftsmanship in all the pieces. This chess set is designed without any religious symbols, without the king crown or bishop mitres. The design, quality, and craftsmanship of these chess pieces are comparable to the luxury chess sets that are sold for $800+ by other retailers.

Uniformity of pieces: The shapes of turned pieces are guided by metal profiles and so all turned pieces are identical, especially the pawns. You can expect some variation where hand carving or cutting comes i.e. knights.

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouses - so as to avoid any form of damage. We take great pride in our packaging which ensures the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile items are safely secured with bubble wrap.
