Features: The Derby Knight Series weighted chess pieces offers a 4.1" King with a diameter of 1.7" and all chess pieces are double weighted by adding a stud of iron within the base. Each of the chess pieces have thick green felt on their bases. The dark chess pieces are made after dyeing the boxwood with an organic black color and the lighter chess pieces are made of Boxwood.

Craftsmanship: Pieces are meticulously handcrafted from the finest grade wood and polished by hand to give it a rich and long-lasting shine. The design, quality, and craftsmanship of these chess pieces are impeccable. The spectacular knight is handcrafted by the best carvers of Amritsar.

Uniformity of pieces: The shapes of turned pieces are guided by metal profiles and so all turned pieces are identical, especially the pawns. You can expect some variation where hand carving or cutting comes i.e. knights.

These grandeur chess pieces are undoubtedly an excellent choice for chess tournaments, chess collection or clubs.

It was at my place in 5 days after the order (in xmass time). It arrived in perfect shape. Every single piece was protected/packed very well. The King is like 80 gram, so pretty heavy. Really stable on the board. The knights are wonderful. I think you can't find a similar knight on the internet for this price. Really a good price / quality. I had a question and they reacted very quick on email and whatsapp. I am very happy with chessbazaar.

This is one of the best Chessbazaar items in terms of quality / price ratio. Moreover, the size of pieces is really larger than average. 4.1-inch tall King carefully carved by the best indian artisans is what you will get for this little price. The other pieces are a gem of art as well, especially the expressive and stylish knights. All pieces are properly and equally weighted. I checked the weight of each piece, and the tolerance is within 10% which is quite acceptable for the hand crafted items. The set perfectly sits on my 2.25-inch board. I would strongly recommend it!!!

I just received this set and inspected it thoroughly. It is well-crafted, appropriately weighted, and a superb set. The outstanding feature is the unique and amazing knights. If you like the Staunton style but want knights that are more striking and detailed than the usual Staunton or ""Lardy"" style, this is your set.

A grief sticken transaction

I ordered and paid for a chess set. \nThe delivery address had to be changed as I've moved house.\nI contacted Mayank and told him the address had to be changed.\n""Hey, no worries, Robin. We have done that for you but there will be a fee of $30US for the change. But it's all good we have fixed the address situation"".\nAs of 12.01.21 Shippit happily and enthusiastically informs me the chess set has been delivered...TO THE WRONG ADDRESS!!!\n\nThanks for nothing Mayank. And I now have to drive three hours (300 kilometres) to get my chess set because the people there won't post it to me.\n\nThanks for nothing Mayank. How are items packaged?

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouses - so as to avoid any form of damage. We take great pride in our packaging which ensures the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile items are safely secured with bubble wrap.

Seller Error: If we made a mistake, such as sending the wrong or incomplete item, please let us know right away and we will gladly send the correct item in exchange whenever possible at no additional cost to you.(Wrong or incomplete items claim must be made within 48 hours of delivery of the item.)
Defective items: If you receive an item with a manufacturer's defect, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to arrange for a replacement.
