Detailed Description

Hi-Gloss Finish Crocodile Pattern Leatherette Storage Box with Double Tray

Leatherette storage box for chess pieces with double tray and fixed slots for putting each piece separately. In addition to it's elegant look and feel, this storage box offers more durability and prestige beyond the storage boxes, crafted in common leatherette matte finish. Unlike standard chess boxes, where the chess pieces are stacked on top of each other while not in use, this storage box with double tray provides each of the chess pieces their own individual storage compartment. This box is best suited for pieces with height 3.6" - 4.1". Comes with suit case style handle to carry and is also fitted with a lock for safe upkeep. The box has been lined with beige velvet to protect the pieces from scratching. The outer dimensions of the box are 11.8" (30 cm) x 13" (33 cm) x 4.5" (11.5 cm). The outer leatherette of the box features a hi-gloss crocodile pattern natural finish. The sale is for an empty storage box only and the chess pieces are NOT INCLUDED in the sale. The upper tray can be pulled out as it comes with little glossy leatherette handles on either side. The lower tray is fixed inside the box. There is provision to put 17 pieces in either tray as most of high end sets come with extra queens. Weight of the storage box is 2650 grams (93.47 oz).

Luxurious......./ Your pieces will be kept safe and secure in the storage box. My Dubrovnik set fits like this item was custom made for them. \n\nThe ONLY issue I have is the key. Only one is issued and it’s very tiny. Get a load of extras made, because you are guaranteed to lose the original.

The double layer design allows for an efficient square design. This is great for storage and travel. Workmanship was exceptional and my Dubrovnik set fit like the box was custom made for them. \n\nIf you ever lock this item, one day you will have decisions to make. Pick the lock, destroy the case or find another set to play with. Even with The leatherette fob provided, the key is almost invisible. Only those with the most delicate of fingers will feel comfortable locking/unlocking. Only one lock was provided, so it will only be a matter of time before that miniature key goes missing. \n\nOther than that key issue, I am more than pleased!

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouses - so as to avoid any form of damage. We take great pride in our packaging which ensures the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile items are safely secured with bubble wrap.

Seller Error: If we made a mistake, such as sending the wrong or incomplete item, please let us know right away and we will gladly send the correct item in exchange whenever possible at no additional cost to you.(Wrong or incomplete items claim must be made within 48 hours of delivery of the item.)
