History:Jose Raul Capablanca was a Cuban chess player born in Havana in 1888. He learned to play chess at an early age from his father, a Spanish army officer stationed in Cuba. Capablanca quickly developed into one of the strongest chess players in Cuba and began to attract attention on the international chess scene.

Capablanca's breakthrough came in 1909 when he defeated Frank James Marshall in a famous match in New York City. Marshall was one of the leading American players of the time and had previously defeated some of the best players in the world. Capablanca's victory over Marshall established him as a serious contender for the world chess championship.

Capablanca's rise to the top of the chess world was rapid. In 1911, he won the San Sebastian tournament, one of the strongest tournaments of the time, ahead of a field that included some of the best players in the world. In 1913, he won the New York tournament, again defeating some of the world's best players.

In 1921, Capablanca finally got his chance to play for the world chess championship. His opponent was Emanuel Lasker, who had held the title for 27 years and was widely regarded as one of the greatest chess players of all time. Capablanca won the match convincingly, becoming the third world chess champion.

Capablanca's reign as world champion was relatively short. In 1927, he lost the title to Alexander Alekhine, a brilliant Russian-French player who had emerged as his main rival. Capablanca's style of play was often criticized for being too simple and straightforward, and he struggled to adapt to Alekhine's more aggressive style.

Despite losing the world championship, Capablanca remained one of the strongest players in the world for many years. He continued to compete in top-level tournaments and was a regular contender for the world championship.

In 1935, Capablanca traveled to Warsaw, Poland to give a simultaneous exhibition. Simultaneous exhibitions were a common form of exhibition in which a strong player would play multiple games at the same time, usually against weaker opponents. Capablanca was known for his skill at these exhibitions and had given many of them throughout his career.

The exhibition in Warsaw was notable for the beautiful chess set that Capablanca used. The set, which was made of amber and ivory, was a gift from the Polish government and was considered one of the most beautiful chess sets in the world. The pieces were intricately carved and highly detailed, and the board was made of a rich, dark wood.

Capablanca played 35 games simultaneously in the exhibition, winning 33 and drawing 2. His opponents included some of the strongest players in Poland, as well as several members of the Polish government.

The exhibition was a great success, and Capablanca was widely praised for his skill and sportsmanship. The beautiful chess set that he used became a famous symbol of the event and was later displayed in several museums in Poland.

Capablanca continued to play chess at a high level throughout the 1930s, but his career was cut short by his sudden death in 1942. He remains one of the most popular and beloved figures in the history of chess, and his legacy continues to inspire players and fans around the world.
