We are pleased to announce the CB Mustang Series heirloom quality Staunton chess set exquisitely made from bud rosewood and natural boxwood. The King comes with two beauteous king finials(each side) & It stands at 4.4 inches with a sturdy 1.9-inch base. The king finials are easy to change, showcasing a luxurious design with a strong, solitary knight.

Weight: 2150 grams (75.83 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.

Note: No glue work is required to swap the king finials.

Dark chess pieces are exquisitely crafted in bud rosewood. Because of its rarity, bud rosewood chess pieces are the primary choice of many chess enthusiasts. Bud rosewood is an alluring wood and probably the most admired wood for luxury chess sets.

The boxwood opposing pieces offer fine detail, with extra queens for easy pawn promotion. Expertly carved and weighted, each piece delivers a satisfying thud. Unique rings and green felts ensure smooth movement, with exceptional lathe work on the collars and curves.

Double is better than one: The set comes with Double Rook(first in it's class) which is well-crafted and represents the highest grade of carving skills that our Indian artisans have to offer.

For a fine uniform finish, we've shielded the pieces with buff-polish instead of lacquer finish. This also ensures the surface is hardy and resistant to scratches & dirt.

Wavy mane for a delicate feel: The knights are precision-crafted. We designed and focus tested over 30 variations before finalizing. Such crafting process requires prior analysis on the wood material before it is sent for processing.

Design Inspiration: The knight of the set is inspired by the Mustang horse. Mustang horses are known for their Strong and Sturdy legs, great intelligence and some of them have a very great feathering or hair growth. The wavy & flowing mane of the knight represents the Mustang in full gallop.

Craftsmanship: Did you notice? All chess pieces have handmade vertical lines at the bottom of the shank, for an elegant look. The carving and the design of the knight are quite spectacular, look closely at the eyes, nostrils, teeth and, craftsmanship around the wavy mane. The design of the other pieces is also highly outstanding that allows the set to truly stand out. They are meticulously handcrafted from the finest grade bud rosewood and polished by hand to give it a rich and long-lasting shine. Each chessmen is carefully handcrafted in India and takes some influences from the Indian Chetak Series. Superb size proportioning from king to the pawn exhibits true intricate craftsmanship The design, quality, and craftsmanship of these pieces rival luxury sets priced over $1500 by other retailers.

Uniformity of pieces: Turned pieces follow metal profiles, ensuring consistency, especially the pawns. Expect slight variation in hand-carved or cut pieces.i.e. knights.

Absolutely stunning chess piece set

I was concerned about buying such an expensive chess piece set without having seen it before. When I held it in my hand all my concerns were gone, it is absolutely stunning! \n\nThe chess piece quality is superp. Each piece is a unique handmade masterpiece. \nThe only point on highest quality I have to address is the mane of the knight and the lacquering. The knights mane quality could improve by sanding. And there are drops of lacquer underneath some collars and no lacquer on the knights mane and neck and between the battlements of the rook.\n\nThe price is very high for this set because of the storage box. It is not possible to buy the chess piece set without it.\n\nNevertheless, I am absolutely happy to have bought this set. I would do it again! I enjoy looking at it, touching it and playing with it each time.\n\nThe customer service is also excellent. Thank you very much Mayank!

How are items packaged?

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouses - so as to avoid any form of damage. We take great pride in our packaging which ensures the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile items are safely secured with bubble wrap.

Seller Error: If we made a mistake, such as sending the wrong or incomplete item, please let us know right away and we will gladly send the correct item in exchange whenever possible at no additional cost to you.(Wrong or incomplete items claim must be made within 48 hours of delivery of the item.)
Defective items: If you receive an item with a manufacturer's defect, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to arrange for a replacement.
