The set features a Tournament standard 3.75" King with a base diameter of 1.65 inches. The GM Blitz Edition is expertly weighted from our master artisans and it's superb size proportioning from a king to pawn make this chess set an excellent choice for the blitz play in chess tournaments/clubs or regular home and school play.

Dark chess pieces are exquisitely crafted in bud rosewood. Because of its rarity, bud rosewood chess pieces are the primary choice of many chess enthusiasts. The opposing pieces are made up of boxwood which is traditionally used for white side. It is one of the fairly easy woods to work with and shows off aesthetic detail. The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and appropriately weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. King, Queens, Bishops and Pawns have unique collar rings and thick green felts, which precisely envelops the base for smooth contact and movement on the chess board. The knights are well-crafted and represent the highest grade of knight carving skills that our Indian artisans have to offer.

Craftsmanship: What makes this chess set so unique is its knight as it is made from a single piece of wood, there are no joins . The carving of the knight is quite spectacular. T o achieve this extraordinary level of detail and finish, our master artisans take a whole day to carve a single chess set. Pieces are meticulously handcrafted from the finest grade bud rosewood and polished by hand to give it a rich and long lasting shine.

Uniformity of pieces: The shapes of turned pieces are guided by metal profiles and so all turned pieces are identical, especially the pawns. You can expect some variation where hand carving or cutting comes i.e. knights.

How are items packaged?

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouses - so as to avoid any form of damage. We take great pride in our packaging which ensures the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile items are safely secured with bubble wrap.

Seller Error: If we made a mistake, such as sending the wrong or incomplete item, please let us know right away and we will gladly send the correct item in exchange whenever possible at no additional cost to you.(Wrong or incomplete items claim must be made within 48 hours of delivery of the item.)
Defective items: If you receive an item with a manufacturer's defect, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to arrange for a replacement.
