What a Joke

The pieces look nothing like the pictures. Especially the knights are very low quality. The facial structure is boxy and does not look like the pictures. The eyes are also uneven and bulbous. I contacted support and they would not process a return. Stole my money.

Great Deal, Amazing Carving, Some Quality Issues

I purchased ""The Indian Chetak II Customized Staunton Chess Set in Ebony / Box Wood - 4.2"" King"". I’m very impressed by the quality of the carving. I noticed glue smudges on the white king, they were probably added by mistake when the craftsman added the cross on the king. It's a pity, this ruins a bit the great carving.

My partner bought me this set recently along with a board. Both are beautifully made and to a very high standard, the carving on the pieces is exquisite...if I have a slight gripe the eyes of the knights are not perfect but they are offset by the overall quality of the set. I will use chess bazaar again and would recommend them to anyone else looking to buy chess sets in the future

I fell in love with the Chetak set the first time I saw it but it was out of my reach. A recent Bazaar sale brought it in range and and I am tremendously impressed with it. Short of an oversized set, it's the got the most mass and weight of any wood set I have. The kings are 5 1/2 oz. It does take a board with at least a 2 1/4"" squares; some folks might prefer 2 1/2"". The workmanship is excellent. Don't be like me and wait till you're old to buy a set this good. Buy it while you're young and play with it proudly through your life!
