Fierce Knight Series in Staunton pattern is made up of bud rose wood and boxwood. The King proudly stands at 4 inches and its base is robust 1.7 inches. The dark chess pieces are made of bud rosewood and the opposing pieces are made up of boxwood which is traditionally used for white side. The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. Chess pieces have thick green felt which precisely envelops the base of each chessmen for smooth movement on the chess board. Chess pieces are meticulously hand crafted from the finest grade wood and polished by hand to give it a rich and long lasting shine.

I've purchased the rosewood and boxwood set.\nThe incarving work is great, the grain of the rosewood is really superb. Incredible cost/quality value. The set fit great with a 60x60mm square chessboard.\nThe packaging was perfect. Each piece singolarly wrapped with soft plastic film, with grat care to the kings's crosses.\nThe shipment was quickly 6 days from India to Italy.

FLAMBOYANT RED

The set I received is consistent in its reddish color. Its consistency exceeded my expectations, the redness left me breathless. The nuances range varies with the degree of diurnal and nocturnal light, remembering that the angle of the observer with respect to the light source is also a variable that affects our perception. During the sunny day, the pieces exhibit a splendid orange tone; as dies the day and natural light diminishes, the orange hue becomes dark red, just like blood without oxygen. Some of the reddish pieces have veins very close to black, but that does not diminish their beauty, but quite the opposite. In short, my red pieces are delightfully mesmerizing (I especially like the steed face). Of course, boxwood pieces are the complement.\n \nAlthough my set has minor differences from the set of the photo (a narrower pedestal at the uniÃ³n with the bust of the knight; a narrower bishop's miter; the upper body of queen and king also narrower, except their bases), such differences are secondary, because that beautiful and flamboyant RED compensates for everything else.\n

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouses - so as to avoid any form of damage. We take great pride in our packaging which ensures the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile items are safely secured with bubble wrap.

Seller Error: If we made a mistake, such as sending the wrong or incomplete item, please let us know right away and we will gladly send the correct item in exchange whenever possible at no additional cost to you.(Wrong or incomplete items claim must be made within 48 hours of delivery of the item.)
Defective items: If you receive an item with a manufacturer's defect, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to arrange for a replacement.
