Now we've something new for chess collectors community. Presenting you the Romanian-Hungarian National Tournament Chess Set. Some chess collectors felt that the base of King & queen in our previous lot was inadequate, so we heard to our customer’s opinion and respected their verdict by increasing the base width of king & queen. Now the King proudly stands at 3.85" tall with a base diameter of 1.57". The dark chess pieces are made of Sheesham wood. For superior protection against scratches and dirt, we've shielded the pieces with buff-polish instead of lacquer finish.

Weight: 1050 grams approx. (37.03 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.

The set comes with free extra queens for effortless pawn promotion. All chess pieces are expertly carved and weighted for fantastic hand-feel and a very nice thud on the wooden chess board. King, Queens, Bishops, and Pawns have unique rings and thick green felts, which precisely envelops the base of each chessmen for smooth movement on the chess board.

The lathe work on the each chess piece is noteworthy, especially the elegant curves on Knights. There are 4 cuts in the turrets of the rook. Like the balls on the bishops are of opposite color. All chess pieces have a very wide base which adds another interesting dimension to the set.

This chess set is reproduced in collaboration with "Michael Ladzinski", one of the greatest chess collectors in the chess world. This popular set is the rage of tournament players in Hungary and Romania.

How are items packaged?

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouses - so as to avoid any form of damage. We take great pride in our packaging which ensures the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile items are safely secured with bubble wrap.

Special Circumstances:

Seller Error: If we made a mistake, such as sending the wrong or incomplete item, please let us know right away and we will gladly send the correct item in exchange whenever possible at no additional cost to you.(Wrong or incomplete items claim must be made within 48 hours of delivery of the item.)
Defective items: If you receive an item with a manufacturer's defect, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving your order to arrange for a replacement.

Plastic Box Damage: We offer plastic box complementary with some of the chess pieces so we won't be able to send you the replacement for the plastic box if it breaks in transit.
Refused or Undeliverable Packages: Packages returned because of purchaser error or refused delivery are subject to a restocking fee of up to 60% of the purchase price to recover the cost of processing, shipping, and then re-stocking and re-processing the order.
Pre-orders and backorders can be cancelled any time up until the item is in stock and your order has been processed.
