Great portable pieces set

First time ordering and I was very happy with the set. Small but detailed and very suitable for any kind of small board. Would love to order again.

What a Fantastic Set!

I cannot claim to know every chess set available on the web, but based on the amount of searching I had done for myself. this Collector Series Handcarved Staunton set is the best carved, best priced, small chess set I have come across. I have a Chessnut Air and was looking for a well-made, small set that I could modify and add Chessnut sensors to. These worked out GREAT. Thank you ChessBazaar for such a wonderful set.

Nicely detailed pieces

I bought these for a 12"" board. The pieces feel smooth and well weighted. The knight is amazingly detailed for a set this size. My only issue is some of the pieces don't stand up straight. But, overall an excellent set for the price.

Nice little chessmen, fully consistent with the Staunton pattern

I looked for a classic Staunton quality set, to complete a nice analysis compact board (4cm / 1.6"" squares). That's the one!\nThe pieces are nice, well-proportioned, pleasantly weighted, of course felted, and the Knight features a great care for many details one usually only finds with larger, more expensive pieces. Definitely a great job! \nThe Pawn is slightly oversized, and would as well fit for playing on 4,5cm / 1.8"" squares. This choice fits my taste (Pawns are the soul of chess!)

These are very good chess pieces for the size and price. They are well carved with good detail, although some pieces have some small irregularities. The mate finish of the ebonized pieces can show some imperfections. It is not bad, but is not perfect either, showing some small protuberance. This set fits well on a board with 40mm squares and are probably the best chess pieces you can find on this size.

Amazingly detailed knights

Absolutely pleased with the sharp and clean look of thus Staunton styled pieces. I found my king's crown broken and CB's post-sale services indeed lived up to expectations - my replacement king is on its way to Singapore! \n\nSo happy with the quality and service that I decided to order another set from CB. \n\nDon't waste time. Pictures don't do justice to this wonderfully crafted chessmen.

I love this set. Although it's small, it's very detailed, especially the Knights. Well carved smaller set

After considerable searching for a set suitable for a smaller \nAnalysis board (1.5"" squares) I was pleased to find this one. In contrast to many other offerings it featured nicely detailed knights and a traditional presentation. The extra queens were also a nice touch.\n\nDelivery was prompt and overall I was very satisfied for the money.

All items are carefully packaged in our warehouses - so as to avoid any form of damage. We take great pride in our packaging which ensures the package is water proof with plastic wrap and fragile items are safely secured with bubble wrap.

Seller Error: If we made a mistake, such as sending the wrong or incomplete item, please let us know right away and we will gladly send the correct item in exchange whenever possible at no additional cost to you.(Wrong or incomplete items claim must be made within 48 hours of delivery of the item.)
