Collector Series Staunton Chess Pieces in Sheesham & Boxwood 2.6"- King

This set is a pleasure to handle and to look at. Delivery was incredibly quick and the packing could not have been better. I am a very happy customer.

Perfect Size for 1.5 inch squares

Much better price/quality ratio than anything you can buy in EU.

Unbeatable quality for the price.

The Collector Series Wooden Staunton chess pieces are beautiful. They are stable and feel good to the touch.

Quality, clean design, and aesthetics. A perfect combination for an everyday smaller set. And .... what an unbelievably competitive price for such a handcrafted set. No more cheap made and looking plastic sets for me! This is the beginning of many more purchases from me with the ChessBazaar.

I have bought Chess Pieces from Chess Bazaar over the years and can attest to the quality and value for money they offer. This 2.6"" King Collector Staunton Series is truly fantastic and no exception to this rule, especially when on sale and can be bought for a further reduced price! These pieces are beautifully crafted and have a unique pleasing squat like appearance. Love them, and you would be hard pressed to find better Chess pieces in this size. A perfect match for Boards with square size of around 40mm (1.61 Inches) which I use for analytical play or when I want to set up for a quick game with my Twins. Great work Chess Bazaar.

I obtained a nice box/board that needed a set. Others have praised the workmanship, but I will praise the design. It is not a miniature version of a larger set which is why it has a somewhat ""squat"" appearance that contributes to the stability of the pieces when moved about.

I am hugely impressed with Chess Bazaar, this Collector Series is the second set I've bought and it is of excellent quality and value. The way the chessmen have been produced is really impressive and shows a real understanding of the Staunton pattern simplicity and aesthetic appeal. This is not always a combination one sees in chess sets. The sheesham wood is beautiful and the boxwood pieces have a lovely sheen to them. The pieces handle beautifully and are weighted just right for that satisfying ""thunk"" when being placed. I have a vintage board that is canvas backed and folds up, the squares measure 4.4 cm and its a perfect fit for this set. The set is ideal for analysis and study, no stretching to move pieces or having the board take up the whole table.\n\nThe price was very attractive and the chessmen were delivered within 4 days, superbly packaged , I couldn't be more pleased.

If you're like me, you're always looking for a good deal\non some nice wooden chess pieces, Staunton-style, preferably from India. But once you unbox these, you might say, wow, these are something else, these are a cut above.\nWithout costing too awfully much (delighted with the sale price I got), these pieces are a treat.\nJust looking at the weight, feel, and cut of the pawns right out of the container were like a revelation for this bargain collector, not to mention the craftsmanship that went into creating the other pieces - really nice design.\nMy first purchase here confirms my impression that I got from internet research and then looking at this website: Chess Bazaar is the number #1 quality and value brand online in my book, for like I say, the wooden chess pieces, Staunton-style, preferably from India. \nAnd with free shipping, careful packaging, and fast delivery, what's not to like? \nSo like I say, best chess pieces I've ever had, maybe until I get the next one from Chess Bazaar; I look forward to trying out some other wooden piece sets.

Very pleased with the purchase and the quality of the set. If you need a smaller set for analysis but don't want to compromise quality and craftsmanship, this is the one. Fits very comfortably on a 1.5"" square board. Excellent finish, material quality and price. You usually get your order delivered to your doorstep in North America in few days!! Keep it up CB. Thanks!

I bought this because I want a nice set in my living room that can also be used for regular playing. However, my house is very small. This set is just what I was needing. I will use it as described. Pieces are not big and not small for people to see from the side chairs as viewers. The pieces feel heavy compared to their size. I will find a wooden board with 5 cm squares that matches the pieces dimensions.\n\nI am happy! Nice work from the manufacturer. Pieces were made in India. good quality! \n\n

Hi, Though I got this set a year ago, I'm still in love with this chess set. Some reviews of this set\n\nPros:\n1. Aggressively priced. \n2. Very clean hand crafted work. Just love the design.\n3. Simple, sober yet elegant.\n4. Very fast delivery. Got this set in 5 days. *WOW*\n\nCons:\n1. I couldn't able to find this set in combo section. It would be great if it comes with the matching board.\n\nOverall, strongly recommended. :)

I had already ordered the ""2 Kg Triple Weighted 4.33"" Staunton Chess Set Ebony 4Q"", which were a very good choice. I wanted to have a smaller set as well, so I bought this set. Again I'm very satisfied with quality of the product! Immaculate work and remarkably detailed given the size of the chessmen. The shesham, although considered inferior when compared with ebony or bud rose wood, looks much better than on the picture. Delicate wood grain and colour. \n\nAs for packaging and delivery, I am again very impressed. Each piece was individually wrapped and arrived safely. Delivery was just three days. No customs. \n\nOverall: highly recommandable! Looking forward to my next purchase.
