I have bought Chess Pieces from Chess Bazaar over the years and can attest to the quality and value for money they offer. This 2.6"" King Collector Staunton Series is truly fantastic and no exception to this rule, especially when on sale and can be bought for a further reduced price! These pieces are beautifully crafted and have a unique pleasing squat like appearance. Love them, and you would be hard pressed to find better Chess pieces in this size. A perfect match for Boards with square size of around 40mm (1.61 Inches) which I use for analytical play or when I want to set up for a quick game with my Twins. Great work Chess Bazaar.

I obtained a nice box/board that needed a set. Others have praised the workmanship, but I will praise the design. It is not a miniature version of a larger set which is why it has a somewhat ""squat"" appearance that contributes to the stability of the pieces when moved about.

I am hugely impressed with Chess Bazaar, this Collector Series is the second set I've bought and it is of excellent quality and value. The way the chessmen have been produced is really impressive and shows a real understanding of the Staunton pattern simplicity and aesthetic appeal. This is not always a combination one sees in chess sets. The sheesham wood is beautiful and the boxwood pieces have a lovely sheen to them. The pieces handle beautifully and are weighted just right for that satisfying ""thunk"" when being placed. I have a vintage board that is canvas backed and folds up, the squares measure 4.4 cm and its a perfect fit for this set. The set is ideal for analysis and study, no stretching to move pieces or having the board take up the whole table.\n\nThe price was very attractive and the chessmen were delivered within 4 days, superbly packaged , I couldn't be more pleased.

I bought this because I want a nice set in my living room that can also be used for regular playing. However, my house is very small. This set is just what I was needing. I will use it as described. Pieces are not big and not small for people to see from the side chairs as viewers. The pieces feel heavy compared to their size. I will find a wooden board with 5 cm squares that matches the pieces dimensions.\n\nI am happy! Nice work from the manufacturer. Pieces were made in India. good quality! \n\n

I had already ordered the ""2 Kg Triple Weighted 4.33"" Staunton Chess Set Ebony 4Q"", which were a very good choice. I wanted to have a smaller set as well, so I bought this set. Again I'm very satisfied with quality of the product! Immaculate work and remarkably detailed given the size of the chessmen. The shesham, although considered inferior when compared with ebony or bud rose wood, looks much better than on the picture. Delicate wood grain and colour. \n\nAs for packaging and delivery, I am again very impressed. Each piece was individually wrapped and arrived safely. Delivery was just three days. No customs. \n\nOverall: highly recommandable! Looking forward to my next purchase.
